We took a cable car ride up the mountain at Daisetsuzan National park! At first i thought it was a chairlift, nope. Cable Car. No chance of falling off :p We made Singapore's mark on the glass window.. A took nice photos on the way up.. but the view from the observatory up there was oh so much more beautiful!!!
A quick stop over at the waterfall.. Nothing much to see in the winter.. I didn't even realise the waterfall was there until Nella pointed it out :p
Asahiyama Zoo next. Somehow i sense the boredom of the animals.. Locke up in such tiny enclosures, pacing around aimlessly without prey to stalk or berries to forage.. Animals just belong in the wild.. There was this eagle, chained to a perch.. it was trying desperately to break free. I felt my heart reach out to it.. eagles are meant to soar, not flap helplessly with their talons chained to the ground..
In any case, the penguins were the only ones who looked reasonably happy..
Don't u agree that penguins are the cutest?? I love the way they walk! Super farnie!!
After the Hokkaido zoo we went for the snow skiing place..
Getting Adler onto the sled so we could push him off a cliff.. nah, just kidding. It's fun sliding down these slopes. More fun than the great sand dunes in Auzzie, cos we can fall and roll about in the snow and it isn't gross. But if i remember correctly, Nella threw a snow ball into the side of my head sending snow into my coat! Brrrrr...... *rush indoors to the heater!!*
Then we went to the snow-ski place but since we had limited time, all we could do was the sled like plastic tray thingy for amateurs.. haha! no matter, it was great
fun!! From sitting, to lying down, to squatting to trying to stand as we slid down the slope of snow. A few of us threw Ruby into the snow after that. :p
Dinner that night was good! Had one hairy crab to ourselves! Hard to crack open, but delicious to eat!! Sat with Denis's Family. Their p4 daughter, Caesey is so cute.. she's scared of the crab..
Fireworks!! We played with those that shot up into the sky and exploded too!! As in.. light, run.. wheeee.. kaboom.. WAH!! :)
Then we proceeded to drawing smileys on people's cars.. and cleaning our shoes with the machine.. mine got stuck.. o.O
That night at the arcade, Adler went on a whacking Tako rampage.. poor octopus.. wouldn't want to be in his position!! He spent the money meant to pay for the fireworks on tako... haha!
Then we got tired and decided to turn in for the night.. Oyasumi! Mata Ashita.
